Winter Carnival Florida

It may not feel like it in Florida, but the winter seasons now is in full swing.

That means it’s a good time to plan a winter carnival. Or an early spring carnival, if the weather heats up faster than expected.

In years past, people traveled to carnivals to have the fun of playing games and experiencing fun rides. Now you can provide all of that fun in your own backyard or neighborhood park.

Thanks to party rental companies like Air Fun Games in New Port Richey, you can plan and carry out a great carnival within weeks. The following represents some ideas, all take from the Air Fun Games site.

Winter Carnival Fun

If it’s a winter carnival, you need concessions. Air Fun Games offers popcorn, snow cone, cotton candy and hot dogs machines to keep everyone filled up and happy. They even have a tropical bar and drink machine for the adult guests. You can make non-alcoholic slushies, too.

They also offer host of carnival games. They include classics such as the dunk tank, giant Jenga, Plinko and Tin Can Alley. You can even rent a power generator to keep everything running smoothly.

Giant Slides

Slides often offer the centerpiece for a big party. It’s the backyard equivalent to the big rides on the Midway at a carnival. While it might be a bit too chilly for water slides, plenty of slides offer thrills without the water. For example:

  • Space Shuttle Turbo Slide. This 38-foot tall monster slide offers riders the chance to climb to the top of an inflatable replica of the shuttle launch platform, then zoom down a curved slide to the bottom.
  • T-Rex Dinosaur Slide. A must for party guests who love dinosaurs (that’s pretty much everyone). This slide towers above at 18 feet, with a giant, inflatable T-Rex in the middle.
  • Dual Lane Slide. This 20-foot high, 30-foot long slide allows party guests to race each other to the bottom.

And that’s just a taste. For whatever age of your party guests, there’s a slide for them.

Thrill Rides

Here’s where you really up the entertainment factor for your carnival. You can rent rock climbing walls, obstacle courses, bumper cars, zip lines and even a foam machine! Experts from Air Fun help set up and operate the rides, if necessary.

Bounce Houses

The little ones need entertainment as much as the adults. A bounce house offers a safe, exciting way to entertaining the kids.

They come in all shapes and sizes. Air Fun Games has about 20 different choices. Castle and princess-themed bounce houses will appeal to the little princess in the family, while superhero-themed entertainment such as the Spider-Man bounce house will please superhero fans. You can also bounce houses with themes involving sports, pirates and even Atlantis.

As you plan your carnival, make sure to consider some of these inflatable entertainment options. They will make your event one that people talk about for years to come.
